How Purplebricks is Keeping Canadians Safe During the COVID-19 Outbreak
March 27, 2020
Purplebricks has adapted quickly to this unprecedented time in our history. We are pleased to share that we are in full operation for home sellers and buyers - with specific pandemic modifications. The safety of our customers and our staff are top priority.
Keeping home sellers safe with virtual appointments
We are seeing a year-over-year increase in our website traffic, which means there are a lot of buyers and sellers still active in the market. This is great news! Purplebricks has adapted quickly to offer virtual appointments to ensure this important service continues for Canadians, while adhering to the prevention measures put in place by health authorities.
Previously, listing appointments involved our local REALTORS® spending a significant amount of time at the property engaging with home sellers. To support “physical distancing”, we have launched Virtual Appointments conducted by video conference. This allows home sellers to speak to one of our REALTORS® who is an expert on their local market and allows them to list their home for sale from the comfort and safety of their home. Sellers also have an opportunity to showcase their home to potential buyers with virtual tours, instead of inviting them into their property. We have also supplied our REALTORS® and customers with posters that they can use to promote safety for themselves and others, if buyers are touring their homes. Currently, the Government recommendation is no face-to-face contact.
With changes in the economy, now is an even better time for home sellers to save as much as possible when selling their homes. Purplebricks’ fixed fee approach to real estate provides a full-service real estate experience for thousands of dollars less! In 2019, we saved Canadians an average of $13,500 in real estate commission†! Whether you are selling or buying a home, our REALTORS® are experts on their local markets and can help you navigate the real estate market during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Keeping employees safe
Purplebricks’ employees have been working remotely since the beginning of this crisis to ensure their safety while still providing customers with high-quality service 7 days a week. Our team adapted quickly to seamlessly provide our sellers and buyers the level of service they expect from us. We are proud of our team and we look forward to continuing to take Canadians from START to SOLD!
“Our team members have put in tremendous care and effort to ensure the health of our customers and each other during this crisis. We have turned to technology to continue to provide Canadians with assistance in selling and buying homes safely and are here to provide support in any way that we can.” - Randall Weese, Broker of Record
Canada will get through this – stay safe everyone!
